About the Program
What is SDRC Respite Care?
The San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) is a nonprofit that coordinates services for individuals with developmental disabilities across San Diego County. One of those services is respite care, giving primary caregivers a well-earned break while their loved one receives quality support.
What makes the SDRC program unique is its family-centered approach. Rather than being assigned a stranger, families can choose a trusted person, often a sibling, relative, or close friend, as the caregiver.
Coast Care serves as the employer of record. We handle onboarding, training, timesheets, payroll, and state compliance, so the family just focuses on care.
